Flange Market Outlook: Carbon Steel and Raised Face Flanges Remain Key Products

The global flange market continues to show steady growth, supported by demand from oil and gas, chemical processing, water treatment, power generation and industrial infrastructure.

According to a recent market analysis, the global pipe flange market was valued at approximately USD 5.0 billion in 2025 and is expected to reach around USD 5.2 billion by the end of 2026. Carbon steel is expected to remain the largest material segment, while raised face flanges continue to represent a major share of the market.

The continued use of carbon steel reflects its combination of strength, availability and cost competitiveness. ASTM A105 flanges are widely selected for many industrial piping applications, while stainless steel grades such as 304/304L and 316/316L are commonly used when corrosion resistance is a priority.

Different flange designs serve different installation requirements. Weld Neck Flanges are often selected for high-pressure and high-temperature applications, while Slip-On Flanges can provide a more economical solution for general industrial piping. Blind Flanges are used to close pipelines and equipment nozzles and can also facilitate future system expansion.

As international projects become more demanding, buyers are increasingly focusing not only on price but also on material certificates, dimensional accuracy, surface finish, pressure rating and product traceability.

For flange manufacturers and exporters, maintaining stable quality while offering flexible production and competitive delivery times will remain important for serving the global market.
